being our best selves

our over the door collection started with a simple, yet powerful sign.  over the last six years we have added many more designs to our collection.  because these signs are powerful. and because they remind us about what's important.  they encourage us to do and be our best selves.  every day.  

we started with we can do hard things.

because we can. even when we think we can’t. homework is hard. but we can do it. and sickness is hard. and relationships. they can be hard too. but we can do hard things. we are stronger than we think. and smarter than we know. and when we believe in ourselves, we can do impossible things. because we can. and so we do. we do hard things.

we added kindness matters.

because it does. and because it’s hard. it’s not easy to be kind. all the time. to be kind to people who might not be kind in return.  so we hung up that sign.  and we read it each day.  it inspires us to be kind.  we go out into the world. we go to school. and to work. and to the grocery store. and to the park. and to the library. and we try to be kind. to everyone. because the more kindness we pour out into the world, the more kindness comes back to us.  kindess matters.  it really does.  

my friend ashley asked us to add be awesome today.

so we did. and we were so moved by those words, that we created a sign to hang above our own front door.

they are also perfect to hang in a classroom. our little over the door sign is the perfect size to rest on top of a classroom chalkboard.  and the words are fabulous for students to read each day.  

we want to see these words each day. we want to go to practice. and to our games. and to the playground. we want to be our best selves. we want to smile more. to be positive. to share. and to make good choices. so we read this sign as we leave our house each day. and we go out and make each day the best day.  because we can.  

over the years, we’ve added several other signs to our 'over the door' collection.

our be still and know sign has become a customer favorite!

and it sparked a wonderful introduction to another fabulous company.

our go into the world and do good sign was born from another customer favorite. and it now hangs in our studio.  a gentle reminder to all those who enter our creative space to go out into the world and spread joy and happiness.

creativity take courage is also hanging in our studio.  it inspires us to take risks. to be brave.  to have faith in our ability. and to allow ourselves to be vulnerable. 

choose your favorite(s) and hang them in your favorite space. we know that they will inspire and motivate you and your family. they will remind you to do your best. and to be your best.  every day.
